" Morning Skies "

Around here we, (or at least I ) rise at 5 A.M. I know they say the best sleep is from 4-6 A.M. but just look what I would miss............


I think about the fact that so many people never notice the Sunrise or Sunset and what they are missing! We got up Saturday morning with plans to go to some great sounding yard sales, but the skies and radar changed our plans. So I spent the day sleeping off and on!

This morning rainy skies again...........

I'm not complaining though..........

We need the rain...............

Just for a moment we thought is was going to clear off...........

My camera just does no justice to the colors we saw............

What a foreboding scene............

Hubby caught this Big Bass in the pond yesterday......he's back in the pond now!

On Saturday, I went to check for the daily egg from Miss Trixie just as she started to cackle. As you can see here.........everybody froze including me!

Miss Trix exits the nest via the roosting pole...............and remember when I said; Holy Hen?

She took the Sabbath off! NO SUNDAY EGG!

For awhile things went dormant around here but everything got a second wind and started blooming again...........

The Weeping Hibiscus has two beautiful blooms on it...............

These Mexican Petunias are about 4 feet tall.............

Jake has decided the new glider is the best spot in the yard............

I want you all to know I was a LAZY woman this weekend... I read and slept, watched Lifetime and Hallmark movies and tried to watch a little NFL Football. I have a lot to do this week though as we are having a Fish Fry on Saturday with some friends to celebrate my upcoming Birthday!
