Book-A-Holic 12 Step ?

The first step to getting help is to admit YOU have a problem, I'm no longer in denial. Hi, my name is Carol and I'm a book-a-holic! My TBR Stack was bordering on dangerous so I said to myself; "do something before it's too late"! I searched in vain for a 12 Step program so I said; to myself, "if you can't beat em, join em"!

I'm currently reading 2 non-fiction books. I usually have a fiction and a non-fiction going but not this time. This is " Nine Lives" by Dan Baum. Dan was sent to New Orleans by New Yorker Magazine after Katrina to cover the aftermath. He moved to New Orleans and became involved in the lives of Nine people whom fascinated him. The protagonist is, New Orleans herself.

The other book is " Woodswoman " by Anne LaBastille. This is the first in a series of books about her life in the Adirondack north woods where she built her own cabin in the wilderness. Talk about spreading it out! From the North woods to New Orleans...............

To eliminate the fear of hearing a loud crash and running for cover here at The Porch, I decided to do some rearranging yesterday. First, I moved all these books from the selves in the porch room to a bookcase in the hall to clear up some room. Nine of these are also TBR books....

I didn't take a before picture but here's the after pics..........4 shelves of TBR

These are the Paperbacks you see turned sideways on top self............

These 9 are sitting on the top self next to the TBR bookcase! 107 books in the stack and more on the way!! NOW.........do I have a problem in your opinion?? BA where are you??

Enough about my book disease! Yesterday morning I was in here moving books when all the dogkids came flying in here barking and going berserk. This usually means a STRANGER is around so they come get me to SEE ! I went to look out back and heard Hubby yelling my name.
He wanted me to see this Grass Carp he caught out of the pond. Last summer we put 10 grass Carp in there to control grasses that were spreading. They were about 6 inches long. In 1 year they have grown to Monsters. You can't eat them so we want to get them out. This is the second one he's caught. 8 to go!

Look what he weighed after one year! 13 pounds 14 ounces..........

It has rained everyday since Saturday. We have 5 inches so far with a 70% chance everyday this week. We need the rain so I'm really not complaining the pond is still way down . The Sun did come out late yesterday .........

I thought it looked so pretty on the pond.........

I LOVE all the reflection off the trees...........I got some great Sunset pictures later that I will post some other time.

I hope everyone is having a good week. I'm trying to get a lot done by Saturday( my laziness has caught up) and it is over whelming me! I love all the comments and have tried to answer back but it will be hard this week to get around to your blogs, I will try though so don't give up on seeing me ??
