" ST. FRANCIS of ASSISI "

I had for sometime been wanting and looking

for a Garden Statue of St. Francis of Assisi.

I found this solid concrete statue in Natchez.

I got around to painting him yesterday.









He turned out so well, I painted these black pots too!

We built this garden last week to give St. Francis a proper

setting. It has three Larkspur plants in it. Yesterday I also

scattered a cup full of eight different varieties of perennial

seeds, I hope to have a beautiful wildflower garden here.

He is holding a bird so I added a little boy and a rabbit...

THE PRAYER of SAINT FRANCIS of ASSISI

LORD, make me an instrument of your PEACE

Where there is hatred...let me sow LOVE

Where there is injury.....................PARDON

Where there is discord...................UNITY

Where there is doubt.....................FAITH

Where there is error......................TRUTH

Where there is despair...................HOPE

Where there is sadness..................JOY

Where there is darkness................LIGHT

O DIVINE MASTER, grant that I may not

so much seek

To be consoled................as TO CONSOLE

To be understood...as TO UNDERSTAND

To be loved....................as TO LOVE

FOR

It is in giving..................that we RECEIVE

It is in pardoning..that we are PARDONED

It is in dying..............................that we are

BORN TO ETERNAL LIFE
